The Eurasian Golden
Oriole or simply Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus) male has striking
black and yellow plumage, but the female is a drabber greenish bird.
It is a migrnt bird spending summers in Europe and West Asia, but
winters in South Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. It is a shy and
difficult to see bird as it gets well camouflaged due to its colors
in the canopy of trees. It has a remarkably sweet fluting song
weela-wee-ooo or or-iii-ole.
