The Red-vented Bulbul (Picnonotus
cafer) is a medium-sized passerine bird. It has scaly patterned dark brown
body, white rump, red vent, black tail tipped in white, and very dark brown or
black head with short crest making it appear squarish. Originally, it was a
resident breeding bird of the Indian Subcontinent but later on, spread to many
other parts of the world.
